Looking to get out on the ice and have some fun? Join us for Sticks, Rings & Pucks! 🏒

We’ve made a few changes to make the program easier and more accessible for everyone. Pre-registration is no longer required — simply come on down when a session is scheduled and enjoy some ice time!

There are no set dates or recurring session times for Sticks, Rings & Pucks. Session dates and times will be posted on our Calendar of Events. Please check the calendar before coming to the Centre to confirm that a session is scheduled, as dates and times may change due to facility needs, special events, maintenance or other circumstances.

A quick heads-up: Sticks, Rings & Pucks is a very popular program, and we receive a high volume of calls and messages about upcoming sessions. During busy times, it may be difficult to keep up with inquiries. For the most current information and upcoming dates, please check our Calendar of Events regularly.

🏒 Program Rules

This is a drop-in program — no registration is required.
$1 per person; ages 4 & under are free.
Participants must follow all Glenwood Community Centre ice rules and the directions of Centre staff.
Helmets are mandatory for all participants.
Participants are responsible for bringing their own equipment including their own stick, hockey/ringette gloves and hockey puck/ringette ring.
Please use appropriate equipment for the activity and be considerate of other skaters.
No rough play, body checking or activities that may put other participants at risk.
Participants must leave the ice when asked by Centre staff.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
Please respect the ice surface, equipment and facility.
No formal instruction is permitted.
All participants skate at their own risk. Glenwood Community Centre is not responsible for injuries, accidents, loss or damage to personal property, or any other incident that may occur while participating in the program.

Why the $1 Drop-In Fee?

The City of Winnipeg does not provide funding for the Sticks, Rings & Pucks program, and there are costs involved in keeping these sessions available to our community, including water and staff costs. The small $1 drop-in fee helps us offset a portion of these expenses and continue offering this program to our community.
