Summer Send-Off Picnic – What a Day!

What a perfect day for a Summer Send-Off! On Sunday, September 13th, the weather couldn't have been better as we welcomed our community to Glenwood Community Centre for an afternoon of fun, laughter and making some great summer memories together.

There was something for everyone throughout the day, including our petting zoo, which was a huge hit with the kids (and maybe a few adults too!), bouncy castles, face painting, a clown, crafts and games. Our bubble station and foam party were also definite favourites, with plenty of smiles, giggles and some very happy kids enjoying every minute! We were also excited to have the City of Winnipeg Police join us for a visit, giving families a chance to stop by, say hello and check things out.

Of course, no Glenwood event is complete without some good food! Our concession stands kept everyone fueled up while families enjoyed the afternoon together. SS Auto Sales was also on site, treating everyone to free coffee on them — a perfect addition to a beautiful September day!

A big thank-you goes out to SS Auto Sales for joining us and to Tache Vacuum Center for once again supporting our Summer Send-Off Picnic. We truly appreciate the businesses and community supporters who help us make events like this possible.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out and spent part of their Sunday with us. Seeing the Centre filled with families, laughter and fun was the perfect way to send off summer at Glenwood!
